Aziza did her master's research in Zoran Hadzibabic's group at the University of Cambridge, working on potassium-39 BEC in a uniform box potential. Afterward, she got her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, working in the groups of Jon Simon and David Schuster. There, she worked on a hybrid cavity-QED system for entangling and interconverting single optical and millimeter-wave photons using Rydberg atoms. In the Lukin lab, she is working on using Silicon vacancies in diamond coupled to nanophotonic devices for quantum information and long-distance entanglement experiments.
