Ivana Dimitrova

Ivana obtained her PhD from MIT where she worked on the Li-7 experiment in the group of Wolfgang Ketterle. Together with the team, she built a quantum simulator using ultracold atoms in optical lattices and realized the anisotropic Heisenberg model, studying spin dynamics in various regimes and adiabatic preparation of many-body states. In the Lukin group, Ivana is working with Rb-87 atoms in optical tweezers coupled to a nanophotonic cavity. This novel interface has exciting applications in quantum networks and quantum computing, including the creation of exotic many-body entangled states, integration with large Rydberg-array quantum processors, and exploring error-correction schemes.
